Understanding our policy

Each May Homes build comes with 10 full years of structural defect coverage for all load-bearing components. This means that if anything is inherently wrong with the foundation of the home or any structural items of the home such as the roof—homeowners will be able to reach out to the team at 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty in order to have an unbiased third party take a look at the home to see if the damage is covered by the warranty. If the answer is yes, the May Homes team will come out to inspect the house and fix any damages that occurred due to structural defects—with no out-of-pocket cost for the homeowner. 

The homes also come with 2 full years of systems coverage that includes any defect in the wiring, piping and the ductwork in any electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems. With the additional 1 full year of coverage also included for any defects in workmanship and materials, homeowners are also able to keep note of any issues in items such as the kitchen cabinets or anything related and have them fixed by May Homes without a second thought. 

“There’s a performance standard that says how everything should operate,” Chris explained. “If you find something that isn’t up to that standard, your builder is responsible for going out and making it better.”
